Job Description :
The Red Hat Enterprise Experience and Delivery (EXD) team is looking for a Software Engineer to join us in Pune, India. In this role, you will help develop the next generation of our modern customer platform. You’ll contribute value to Red Hat's customers through the enhancement of both customer and internal systems as part of an agile and globally distributed Product Development team. As a Full Stack Developer, you’ll get the opportunity to work with many technologies, including Java on the Red Hat Middleware platform, Apache Camel, JavaScript frameworks, and other technologies.

Primary job responsibilities

Design and develop custom applications in Java using Red Hat Fuse and Spring Framework
Build and maintain UI interfaces written in React.js for interaction with the backend
Ensure ongoing quality of the application codebases through bug fixes, refactoring, and test automation
Collaborate with other developers across multiple teams and technologies for different integration use cases
Work with business associates to implement required features
Provide onboarding support and ongoing mentoring to new or junior associates
Work with the Engineering team management to adapt existing engineering processes and practices; develop new processes to facilitate a productive development environment
Work with product managers, business analysts, and other related stakeholders to ensure that business requirements and priorities are well understood and clearly communicated to the development team

Required skills

Proficiency in Java, Spring Boot, or Hibernate; experience with Red Hat Fuse is a plus
Ability to plan and develop public and internal web APIs using related technologies including JSON, REST, SOAP, or XML
Familiarity with distributed source control like Git including branching, merging, and tagging
Proficiency in Linux, Docker, Red Hat OpenShift, or containerization tools
Experience using and administering MySQL, PostgreSQL, or other SQL-based databases
Experience designing and developing components for an ESB or SOA

The following are considered a plus:

Familiarity with JavaScript or any modern web framework like React.js
Understanding of distributed transactions
Understanding of web security and common exploits, including Cross-Site Request Forgery (CSRF), Cross-Site Scripting (XSS), and SQL injection
Familiarity with Salesforce.com (SFDC) administration or development, including APEX, and Lightning web components
Familiarity with Patternfly web framework, ideally PF4
Experience with Linux system administration and contributing to open source projects
Scrum or other agile, cross-functional team experience
